Scenes from 2012 LA Pride in West Hollywood, Calif.
LA Pride got off to a wet and wild start Saturday afternoon as thousands streamed into West Hollywood, Calif. for Christopher Street West's 42nd annual celebration.
For the first time ever, water slides and wading pools courtesy of SummerTramp graced the grounds of the newly re-designed West Hollywood Park. The astroturf water park was filled with beach toys, floating rafts and gigantic blow-up cages. Complete with its own bar and DJ sets, SummerTramp gave the adults in the crowd an excuse to go back in time and party MTV-spring break style.
The steamiest hot-weather trends (with a rainbow twist) were on full display Saturday. Feathers, neon, sheer clothing and lace (not just for women!) were everywhere. But no matter what fads come and go, the most popular accessory of the day was and always will be skin -- and lots of it.
It looks like summer has officially come to Los Angeles.
